Massive Loss of Resources in Az. Apartment Construction Fire

A new apartment complex under construction went up in flames in the Gilbert area of Phoenix, Az. on Saturday, 4-23-2016 and the flames spread to the other units in the framing stages. More than 40 trucks and 120 firefighters were there to fight the fire and injuries were reported.

Several hundred units of about seven three story structures suffered damage or were destroyed and the fire was still burning as of hours ago.

This represents a huge loss of resources for some investors and/or whichever insurance company may have underwritten the project. Strange, suspicious fires continue to erupt around the country costing millions and/or billions in damages.

Anyone who has done some framing and building on these kinds of construction sites in that hot, (sometimes 115-120 degree heat) climate knows how much work was lost in this fire, a huge, monumental loss of resources.

I don't know if this unfortunate venture had many security guards on the site, but it would have been well to have had a 2-3 man crew, at least, in order to control the place. Fences are needed and no trespass rules have to be enforced. At least the guards can call 911 and law enforcement to have trespassers removed. Should be no sleeping and camping on such a site.
