Probably from the 1970s, here are the Singers Unlimited with "Nature Boy", written by eden ahbez in 1947.
Singers Unlimited were (in order in the photo) Beth Herman, Gene Puerling, Len Dresslar (whose voice you might know as that of The Jolly Green Giant :) and Don Shelton.

Well I was like age 12 when I first listened to this in the early 1970s . My late dad, a great jazz musician, introduced me to this. I'm so glad he did. I immediately was in love with harmony, voicings and re-harmonization. I don't know how Gene Puerling did it back in the day. Did he write the music on the piano and started with guide tracks over which the multitracking was done? No pitch and timing cortrection back in the day. What you hear is exactly how they sung it on tape. This is Heaven! I am a huge fan of other harmonmy vocal groups which came later, such as New York Voices and of course Take 6 (first time I heard them, I thought: these guys listened a LOT to Singers Unlimited :-) but Puerling's work is as good as music - any music - will ever get. Fellow pro musicians: try analyzing or transcribing the voicings.... you will go:" Holy......!". Thanks so much for the upload.
