This reader said: “Humility is the main path towards God, which is why repentance is so important. What you are saying is the reverse of the truth.”
The previous post said: “That Holocaust re-education bill they’re pushing forward should absolutely impress upon Americans the need to ensure that such an action never occurs to again to ANY group; but it needs to be HEAVY on repentance, remorse and seeking forgiveness;”
How does demonstrating repentance, remorse and seeking forgiveness count as the reverse of humility?
“As well, you are assuming a LOT when you say that the Bible copies from any other texts--it is probably the reverse”
PROBABLY THE REVERSE? DON”T YOU KNOW? ARE YOU JUST CROWING ABOUT SOMETHING YOU DON’T KNOW.
HERE ARE THE FACTS:
Hinduism is 12,000 years old. Christianity is not and much younger.
Wisdom is the Spirit of Truth (John 16:13) and as Christians, we are obligated to practice sufficient humility to honestly investigate claims.
Here are the scriptures from the Bible that prove Judaism and Christianity came from Zoroaster’s (Persia is modern day Iran and Babylon is modern day Iraq).
2 Chronicles 36:23 King James Version (KJV)
23 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.
Cyrus was King of Persia (Iran) and a follower of the God Ahura Mazda and practiced Zoroaster’s. Zoroaster religion existed 3000 years before Jesus was born.
Ezra 4:3 King James Version (KJV)
3 But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us.
Ezra was in captivity in Babylon and interested in learning.
Ezra 7:6 King James Version (KJV)
6 This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him.
Ezra 7:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
Ezra 7:12 King James Version (KJV)
12 Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time.
Ezra 7:21 King James Version (KJV)
21 And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,
Ezra 7:25 King James Version (KJV)
25 And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.
Speak and write that which you KNOW.
As much as Western Civilization would like to spread the lie that Christianity is older, the archeology of the planet has busted those lies.
“These petroglyphs fill a huge gap in the history of the Konkan region,” says Tejas Garge, Director, Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, Maharashtra. There is ample evidence that in the medieval age, the Konkan coast was lined with important port towns. It has been reconstructed from epigraphs and contemporaneous records that it has a history of trade and contact with Europe, and even with the Roman Empire. But there was a big void regarding what went on here in prehistoric times. Some evidence has come from the caves in the region. A team of researchers from Deccan College, Pune, discovered stone tools that were estimated to be 25,000 years old. “If you consider that the records of the port towns are from about 3,000 BCE, we are talking of a gap of about 20,000 years. No one knew what happened here during this period,” Garge says.
