Answering Journey's comment about lack of news coverage:

Journey, from our perspective Canada heavily censors the news, and has been doing so at least since the secret trial of Homolka/Bernardo in the late 1990s. So while we could not get details from our newscasts or papers, we had to go to American sites to read about and follow it.

The same thing occurred just this past year when the two men from Port Alberni, BC went on the shooting spree across Canada. Extremely little news about any of it from our papers, but you could get the details from UK, Australian and various other news sites.

As for this mass shooting the other day, the only Cdn article I could find as the first news about it said "a man went on a rampage possibly killing up to 16 people in Nova Scotia, including a female RCMP". That was it. However, the UK papers covered the story nicely.

Even the virus news/stats for Canada was reported in other countries' news sites before I could find any solid info reported here.

So, we have learned to go to well known english speaking papers in several other countries if we want to know what is going on. You may like to try this, too.
