Thanks for the concern, the birthday glad tidings, and the two gifts of money. :) We had a pretty widespread power outage, not sure what particular event or events may have caused the unusually widespread nature of the thing, but apparently they've taken care of it now. I'm glad about that and so are the contents of my refrigerator. :)

In Rayelan's birthday post for me she mentioned being without funds and even that her bank account was overdrawn - so I restored the RMN Fundrazr and we'll let it stand for both August and September with a combined goal of $5000. I see a few folks have already made recent contributions there; thank you for that. :) It'll take more, though, before we've covered that bank overdraft, so please keep it coming. I'll include the Fundrazr below.

Raye's note said I'd have to tell everyone how best to send money for me. RumorMail answered that in her post yesterday. There is a Fundrazr widget for me here in the Reading Room but you can also make a 'spend' inside Paypal to email address hobie@rumormillnews.com. (Thank you. :)

Raye had wondered about the location of the RMN server; RumorMail answered that, too - the server's in Atlanta, in a "server farm" that of course has backup power. I'm not sure of the precise location, so I don't know if it was affected by the widespread outage I mentioned. If it was, RMN may have been MIA for a short while (?) but basically we've continued with no problem.
