Many of us are absolutely sure this is the case with both Lyme and Morgellons and the question is always; is Morgellons Lyme.

I know for a fact there is a genetic group that expresses with Morgellons and depending on different variables as to whether it is brought forth in severity or casually. It has seemed as though those with the Rh negative factor become more ill with Morgellons. It also seems that the Rh positives seem to end up having more of them to pass on from the affliction.

As I read this it is almost counter intuitive but this observation was taken by myself and Jan Smith and we both thought how weird. Jan is an Rh positve and I am on the other hand an Rh negative.

Research project title: Can Lyme Disease be Sexually Transmitted?
Description: Lyme disease was not proven to be sexually transmitted despite the fact that a closely related spirochete called Treponema can cause a well-known sexually transmitted disease called syphilis. My hypothesis in this research project that Borrelia DNA can be found in reproductive fluids from Lyme disease patients. I will be obtaining fixed blinded clinical samples from Lyme disease patients as well as from healthy controls and I will use PCR, direct sequencing technologies to detect Borrelia DNA in these samples and Mega5 phylogenetic program to analyze the obtained sequences. If we can prove that Borrelia DNAs exist in these clinical samples it will warrant a further investigation for the possibility that Lyme disease is sexually transmitted.

Morgellons Disease: Massive Progress in Scientific Research

Research headed by UNH professor of biology and environmental sciences Eva Sapi successfully identified and confirmed that infectious organisms were present in Morgellons patient skin lesions. Evidence of two human pathogens were identified by the analysis of whole genome sequencing. The goal of the next phase of Dr. Sapi’s study is to provide more evidence that Morgellons disease has infectious agent etiology.
