THE PARALLAX VIEW - Chilling Realistic Film - Comment & Trailer VIDEOS - Paula Prentiss, Warren Beatty are EXCELLENT

The Paula Prentiss portrayal of reporter Lee Carter is stunningly real in the Warren Beatty film, 'The Parallax View'.

Parallax is a light distortion phenomenon which can occur viewing through a telescope and/or telescopic gun sight, so it is effectively used here in the title of this thriller, but oddly, the word has been removed from some online dictionaries. ??? Less information available to wannabe snipers. (1)

Lee Carter's pleading rant to Beatty's character, Joseph Frady, is probably an accurate 'parallel' to the real pleas and cries for help of those who genuinely attempted to help bring some order and justice to the U.S., but whose voices may have been considered paranoid, imagined, crazy, etc., and whose efforts went largely unheard. (2)

With an unusual, original and chilling soundtrack, lots of color and locations including the Seattle Space Needle, marching bands and great supporting acting from characters, 'The Parallax View' promises a rollercoaster exciting ride. It is as accurate and real today as when released in 1974.
