It’s a process killer for the most severe issue of not being able to kill a process to free up memory. So now there’s a provision for the system to kill it’s child processes automatically.

Further - I’m not so sure EAS-OS is an “emergency alert system” custom OS. It looks like a scientific distro “Earth and Space” OS. Either way it’s a modified version of CentOS / RHEL. And an old one at that.
