I suspect that the hacker must have succeeded at the second attempt using a trojan my firewall didn't recognise.

Tried to receive my emails on my main POP-based server. Logged in fine. One problem - no emails in the past 36 hours. I normally receive 12-16 emails a day, mainly automated daily summaries from various lists I subscribe to, and I never receive less than 8 or 9. There is not a problem with the server either as I used it to send an email to my hushmail account and it arrived immediately.

My guess - someone's taken my password, logged in and received my emails. Either that or they've been 'consficated' as another little warning.

My hushmail address above seems to be working, although it is possible that emails are being deleted from it. I have no way of checking this.

My advice - get a firewall and keep it updated!
