The following information posted by "neverknwo" gives the impression that the celebration held in Egypt on New Year's Eve through to January 1st, 2000 was the "CROWNING of ZION". I interpret this as meaning the capstone was placed on the Giza Pyramid.

On December 16, 1999, Rumor Mill News sent the following email to everyone on the RuMills/RMNews egroups-emailing list. As you will read, the ceremony that would have "capped" the Giza Pyramid with a NEW capstone was CANCELED! In other words, NO CAPSTONE was placed on the Giza Pyramid last year!
In the following article, RMNews lays out the events that make us believe that the NWO was not able to usher in its One World Government on the time schedule they wanted.
One thing that must be remembered -- While there are two or three major powers in the world -- ONE of which being the United States -- there can BE no ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT.
However, there is credible evidence showing that the former Soviet Union and China are allying against the United States. If the United States is destroyed or weakened to the point that it becomes a collection of "warring states" similar to Yugoslavia, then there will be NO country of educated men and women that is strong and intelligent enough to beat back a One World Government.
In the past month, it has appeared as though the NWO has launched a "Mutually Assured Destruction" threat. There are several stories on the front page of RMNews which talk about this:
The incursion into American and Canadian airspace of Russian fighters
China presenting a threat to our southern flank
The sale of 40 Squall rocket torpedos to China from the former Soviet province of Kazakhstan in 1998.
Racial tensions being inflamed possibly to start a race war which will "Balkanize" the United States
The anger of part of the American people against the Electoral College could bring about a call for a Constitutional Convention
While the stated premise would be to review the need for an Electoral College in this modern day -- the real reason would be to replace the United States Constitution
It is the opinion of Rumor Mill News that we are in the most dangerous period our nation has ever experienced. All we can hope for, is that those who have the knowledge and ability to beat the NWO back into shadows, are able to do it before the NWO destroys society the way we know it. All historians of ancient ritual and occult orders have been predicting that the New World Order will usher in the One World Government on New Year's Eve of 1999. The ceremony that would ultimately usher in a One World Government was sceduled to be held at the Great Pyramid in Egypt. The symbol that would signal that the world has been successfully enslaved under a One World Government was going to be sent when a gigantic golden capstone was placed on top the Great Pyramid.
Today, without fanfare, the Egyptians abruptly canceled the gold capstone. Why?
Did the downing of EgyptAir 990 make the Egyptians wake up?
Did the violence directed toward the WTO, by a rag-a-muffin collection of paid anarchists send a message to the rest of the world?
Or is something going on beneath the surface that the controlled media doesn't report?
For several years now, Rumor Mill News Sources have been stating that the only way to beat the NWO back into their corner for a few more decades is financially.
From personal involvement, I know that secret gold reserves were moved back into Austria and Germany in late 1994 and 1995. Shortly after the movement of the gold, some unusual things began to happen... almost like dominos falling.
First came the Barings Bank failure, then came the collapse of Warburg Bank in London. Next came the "suicide" of the would be "heir" to the Rothschild dynasty, Amschel Rothschild.
Quoting from the New York Times, July 11, 1996 edition, "...before his death, the Rumor Mill in the City of London was casting doubt on Amscel Rothschild's prospects of inheriting the mantle of the banking empire.
"Bankers in the City of London... speculated that he might have been unhappy about losses suffered at Rothschilde Asset Management, LTD, the division he headed."
(Rumor Mill News did write a letter to Youssef M. Ibrahim, the writer of the above story, and thanked him for giving us credit. He never responded.)
Starting in 1996, the New World Order's financial institutions came under attack by an odd assortment of people who have united behind a banner that reads:
"THE ENEMY OF MY ENEMY IS MY FRIEND!"
Communists, capitalists, monarchists, anarchists, nationalists, socialists, environmentalists, and religionists have all joined together to defeat a monster that would have the potential to destroy and enslave them all.
While the "Internet Warrior Brigade", sat behind computers and pretended we were fighting a war, the real war was going on, behind the scenes, in board rooms, banks, financial houses, golf courses, and Wall Street!
The hidden gold reserves that were transferred into Europe in 1994 through 1996 were put into several trusts. Some of the gold and other precious metals were put into trusts that had already been established in the mid 80's. At the time these trusts went "on line", they contained somewhere around 3 trillion American dollars.
Starting in 1996, liens and lines of credit were placed on these trusts. The money was then invested in the American Stock market. The trusts are now valued at around 300 trillion. Several months ago, I was told that the Europeans, who control the trusts, started pulling their money out of the American Market. As European money goes out of the market, something has to go back into it to keep it from prematurely crashing.
The money that is going back into the American Market is the private money of the owners of the Federal Reserve. In other words, to keep the illusion in place, until they are in a position to move forward with their plan for a One World Government, the NWO Elitists have depleted their own hard assets. This was part of the plan of the Enemies of the New World Order.
RMNews readers remember that a few weeks ago, our Sources told us that Y2K has been cancelled. From reading the newspapers, it doesn't sound that way, does it? [See accurate our Sources were?]

In that article, RMNews pointed out that both sides, in this war, want certain groups eliminated. One of the statements made was, "You will be able to tell who is winning, by who is being targeted."
Yesterday, my sources told me that they are rounding up "real terrorists". The ones who are acting on their own, out of personal conviction. These kinds are the most dangerous because they can't be predicted.
"Government terrorists" have to be funded and the plan has to be passed "down the line" in exact commands. If the funds or the command structure develops a kink, whether accidental or on purpose, the goverment terrorists just sit and wait. They are not taught how to act on their own.
But "real terrorists", like "real anarchists" can't be tracked, profiled or predicted.
If violence erupts during New Year's Eve, it will be for the purpose of sidelining certain groups and people. Again, you will have to refer to the article "When the Revolution Begins" to be able to tell who is winning and who is losing.
Back in 1996, at a summit in Turkey, the NWO brought forth a new treaty. Terrorism was labeled an international crime and was put under the jurisdiction of the United Nations. Under this new treaty, the President has the option to invoke United Nation troops to settle the chaos, riots and wars that may result.
But look what is happening to the relations between Russia and the United Nations. If the United Nations tries to put together an army, I wonder how many Russian soldiers will be able to leave the Chechen war and go somewhere else to act as "peace keepers"?
The war in Kosovo fractured NATO and the United Nations. Those bodies are dead. We are just waiting for them to fall. The International Monetary Fund is also dead. So is the Federal Reserve.
The World Bank will survive, but it will get a new "agenda".

Very soon the Treasury Department will begin printing and coining its own money. It appears that it has always printed and coined its own money, but in reality, the private owners of the Federal Reserve Banking System were in control of the printing and coining of the money used in the United States.
Watch the banking system closely, because there will be no fanfare when the change is made. Suddenly one day, our money will look slightly different. It won't even be as noticible as the new larger, offset pictures. But instead of "Federal Reserve Note" United States money will now read either, "Central Bank of the United States", or "National Bank of the United States," or "United States Treasury Notes."
Each name has slightly different meanings, and the final outcome has not yet been agreed upon.

The world is sliping back into a Cold War status. Rumor Mill News first predicted this in 1996. Over the years, we have continued to predict this. When Kosovo began we wrote an article that stated that the sole purpose for the Kosovo war was to bring back the Cold War and erect a new Iron Curtain.
Signs of this are all around us. Russia is testing its intercontinental ballistic missiles. Yeltsin warns Clinton that Russia still has nukes. China assumes control of the Panama Canal, creating the potential to cut off access for our Navy.

China and Russia are forming a partnership against the United States and the New World Order.

All the events that were predicted by Rumor Mill News three to four years ago have fallen into place. And today, a signal was sent to all the hidden leaders of the New World Order. The signal says, "We are postponing our One World Government until we are in a stronger position to put it into place... "
The rest of their message should have read, "...until we are in a position to put it into place... and stay in power!"
In his book, "The Fed and the Well-Fed" Gunther Russbacher, refers to the pyramid on the back of the dollar bill and states, "...at the time the seal was designed, the New World Order was a fledgling, in the early stages of being built, and was not yet complete. This is symbolized by the capstone (of the pyramid) being separated from the rest of the pyramid.
"However, once the New World Order has been built and the one world government is in place, the capstone will be joined to the rest of the pyramid, symbolizing the completion of the task."
The capstone will not be put in place this year. The One World Government has been delayed, at least one year... let's hope it has been delayed for several decades.

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - In an apparent nod to public opinion, the government on Thursday canceled its plan to cap the Great Pyramid in gold for the millennium celebrations. Egypt had planned to usher in the New Year by affixing a gold-encased capstone on the Great Pyramid, built as a tomb for King Cheops about 4,500 years ago.
The 30-foot high cap was to be lowered by helicopter at the stroke of midnight Dec. 31, making the broken pyramid whole again, if only for a night.
Culture Minister Farouk Hosni gave no reason for backing off the plan, but said the decision was made despite technical advice that it would not have damaged the monument, Egypt's Middle East News Agency reported.
Egypt's millennium celebrations feature a 12-hour concert at the foot of the Giza pyramids with 1,000 performers.
Egypt, whose recorded history goes back 6,000 years, is promoting the celebration as the start of its seventh millennium.
