In case you missed it, among the letters we printed last week was one from longtime friend and colleague Pat Shannan, an investigative reporter for Median Bypass magazine.

Pat concludes his letter by charging that The Spotlight "has been openly prejudiced against the religion of Zionist Judaism for 45 years." Pat is wrong on two counts. (1) The Spotlight began publication in September of 1975, 25 years ago. (2) But the important thing is there is there is no such religion as Zionist Judaism. Briefly, Zionism is a political force and Judaism is a religion.
Pat's confusion is all too common. People get frantic to avoid the smear "anti-semitic," following the guidance of their mentors, be they half-educated clergymen, family, friends, colleagues or the corrupt press.
They fail to understand or see that Zionism, while purporting to be a scheme at "ingathering" of Jews of the world to Israel, is in reality a powerful political engine, which allied with the plutocrats, effectively controls all aspects of Western political, intellectual, religious and cultural life.
Zionism overlaps substantially into both capitalism and communism. Without Zionist support, neither capitalism nor communism could survive. Many conservatives and the conservative media are scared stiff of political Zionism, let alone dare to unmask its international machinations. So they try to ignore it. They know that if they were to stand up and be counted for America first, as does Liberty Lobby and The Spotlight, they would quickly be branded "anti-Semitic." an epithet they dread more than death.

When is the last time anyone saw in a publication of the John Birch Society an expose of Zionism? Keep looking, you won't find it. Following in the footsteps of their founder, present day leaders of the society scrupulously adhere to an unpatriotic pro-Israel foreign policy.
Nor will you find any expose's of Zionism in "conservative" publications such as Human Events, National Review and The Weekly Standard, promoted by organizations such as Heritage Foundation and the Christian Coalition.
If the editors and leaders of these organizations would only take a good look at the Clinton-Gore administration they would find the executive branch riddled with political Zionists holding the top-most policy making positions.
What is at work here is a subversive fifth column. This is the only time in world history we can think of in which a big powerful nation has been taken over by another nation without military conquest. Yet few dare to speak out about this deadly threat to our sovereignty.
In the United States the chief operative of Israel is the Anti-Defamation league(ADL), which functions as an arm of the Israeli Mossad (that country's CIA). The Mossad is out to quash all patriotic activity and patriotic leaders. The ADL is the fount of political correctness, cultural communism and culture distortion in the United States. The only nationalism it will tolerate is Israeli nationalism. As for America, Israel's milch cow, only a global view as sesigned by Zionist interest is allowed.
Of course at the basis of this Zionist operation is hate. While accusing patriotic Americans of hate, the Zionists are the real haters. They hate anyone who does not support Israel 100 percent.

One writer whose violent hatred of all Germans is officially lauded is a harvard Professor, Daniel Goldhagen. His best-selling book, Hitler's Willing Executioners: Ordinary Germans and the Holocaust, received extravagant praise from sources as diverse as The New York Times, Business Week and the German government itself.
Goldhagen charges that the Germans are "pathologically ill," "struck with the illness of sadism," "diseased," "sadistic," "psychopathic," in thrall of absolutely fantastical belief,"...that ordinarly only madmen have..." and the list goes on. How's that for hate? Imagine anyone saying that about Jews?
Important opposition to Goldhagen comes from a Jewish scholar, New York University professor Norman Finkelstein, who immediately felt the wrath of the ADL, which sought to have his writings banned.
Finkelstein sees that the Holocaust syndrome is very profitable and consistent with Israeli policy. And he adds"...Seen through Goldhagen's effectively ultr-Zionist lens, in the dialectic of anti-Semitism...Jews can do no evil. Ever guilty Gentiles and ever-guiltless Jews: these are the recipocal faces of the supra-historical, Manichean paradigm...of Goldhagen...."
Pat Buchanan is the political leader they fear most. Four years ago, Buchanan felt the wrath of their charges of "anti-Semitism" so much that he was forced to fire patriots from his staff. This time around Buchanan appears to be stronger willed and willing to take on the alien powerhouse of the ADL. This terrifies them; imagine a national politician who won't crawfish and bow down before their media ad hominem attacks.
The SPOTLIGHT and its publisher, Liberty Lobby, are no strangers to the brutal attacks of the ADL and its patsies. For two generations, the ADL has backed every effort to destroy Liberty Lobby.
And why not? For 45 years Liberty Lobby has stood up for traditional Americanism. This is anathema to the ADL, which is opposed to every single principle Liberty Lobby supports.
Liberty Lobby's policies have been set by its Board of Policy. Each of the 112 foreign and domestic positions taken are unabashedly pro-American and always have been.
Here's the good news. Do not lose sight of the fact that the ADL's continuing attacks against patriots is born of fear. The political Zionist know that they attain their goal of a world government under their control by manipulating cowed Americans who are afraid to stand up against them.
The key is unity. We cannot break ranks and get into religious disputes between Catholics and Protestants. This is exactly what the ADL wants.
The next time you sense that a patriot is unthinkingly parroting the Zionist line, speak up. Don't let them get away with it.
