This is similar to my own suspicions. I was saying to my grandmother a couple of days ago, that it looks like maybe they'll be appointing Clinton emperor of the world soon.
This was the feeling I had gotten from that mega spook fest, Clinton's State of the Union address. The way the Democrats all stood up and applauded after Clinton's every totalitarian pronouncement was truly creepy. Isn't it funny how those who profess to care the most about others, wind up being the worst people around?
Funnily enough, the topic of Clinton ruling the world came up because I and my Grandmother were discussing the 1970's book "The Late, Great Planet Earth." She said it was a good book, so I picked it up and flipped through it. I had never looked at it before, but it immediately struck me as prescient, even though I am not a religious person myself, and much of the book deals with predictions from the Book of Revelation. There is a lot of discussion of theories of an "antichrist." I, as many others, have abstractly considered Clinton in that role--that is, the role of the "benevolent ruler" who really turns out to be a deceiver, who claims to be about "caring" and "peace," but who is really about control and subjugation.
So, do I think that Clinton is "The Antichrist"? Well, let me put it this way. I think that the Book of Revelation may not have been intended to be interpreted literally, but is perhaps more of a sociological work, along the lines of the "I Ching." Perhaps ancient writings like these are actually intended to be "blueprints for the human mind," giving warning to future generations about the pitfalls that the human mind, and human society, are prone to. Such ancient works, which have traditionally been accepted as works of wisdom, probably really are wise, perhaps wiser than we can guess. They may exist as a purposeful and caring message sent by "awake" man to his future "asleep" self: a warning, a string tied to the finger, a "to do" list for the temporarily mentally challenged.
I think that the Book of Revelation may be using symbols to accomplish this warning. For instance, I see the symbol of the serpent/snake in the Bible as possibly representing the reptilian part of the human brain, the "control freak" part. When the Book of Revelation speaks of the serpent, or Satan, taking control of the world, I see this as saying that, in an unhealthy society, the reptile part of men's brains will begin to become dominant, and the ape part of men's brains will begin to take a back seat.
Remember, evolutionary theory has it that mammals, including apes and man, evolved from reptiles, and thus reptiles are the more primitive form.
I think that in a healthy human society, the ape part of men's brains is dominant, and the reptile part takes a back seat. But that is not the case these days, and that is why "wickedness" has taken over. We are acting against our own best nature.
I have seen some thinking that suggests that the ebb and flow of "wickedness" in human history is cyclical and predictable, and is perhaps related to periodic flooding, such as the legendary "Great Flood." This supposedly periodic flooding happens to come at times of increasing human wickedness, and as the flooding kills a lot of people, it is seen by the survivors as having wiped all of the world's wickedness away.
Maybe there is some astronomical cycle that takes place over a period of some thousands of years, that causes periodic catastrophic flooding. And maybe this same astronomical cycle also influences the human mind in some way, so that we are more "awake" and "good" on one side of the cycle (that is, more ape) and more "asleep" and "evil" on the opposite side of the cycle (that is, more reptilian). Maybe this could be because of the influence of radiation, or other forces, from different stars as they pass nearer to, and further away from, the earth, during this long trip. We already know that the moon influences human physiology, so why not the stars?
Maybe the opposition to the New World Order should use a monkey or an ape as its symbol. And on the "anti" side, we could have a snake or a dragon with a line through it. I would really like to hear from people whether they think these metaphors of the ape and the reptile that I have set forward ring true to them or not.
Let me elaborate a bit more on what I mean by the "ape" and "reptile" tendencies of the human mind. As I see it, the ape tendencies of man lead to people living in small, healthy, self governing groups that drive away outsiders. The reptile tendencies of man lead to artificial, technological and bureaucratic systems of control that tie men down with excessive laws, bind men together in unnaturally large, unhealthy, collectivist groups, and remove the natural boundaries and competitions between people and tribes. Ask yourself, which type of system do you want? I say: monkey good, reptile bad.
I found my brief conversation with my grandmother about the "emperor of the world" to be quite heartening. It is nice to know that I am not the only "monkey" in my family. So let me suggest that instead of just posting on the internet about the wickedness of the "reptilian" New World Order, maybe it is time for more of us to start talking to our grandmothers, and other family, about these things.
