I've noticed the nature of the postings here has changed in roughly the last two weeks. They've become more emotional. Some are more religously narrow, more ethnocentric than I expected to find here. And above all, many of them are personal attacks.

I wonder why that is.

Part of the reason may be the confluence of catastrophes which RMN keeps tabs on: the Middle East, the possibility of Great Depression II, and of course the current Election-in-Limbo and its implications for our US Constitutional system.

We are being roused from a long and beautiful dream of Freedom. We suspect that what we had regarded as a more or less permanent daily reality is about to disappear, and that in its place looms some dark future ruled by forces behind black sunglasses with virtually absolute power over our very thoughts. It's no wonder then that some of us become paranoid. That others try to push some personal belief system they've been convinced for decades is the One True Way out of this mess. And that all of us are a bit short-tempered.

I believe the Internet is the last great forum of free speech and free exchange of ideas. And surely They know this too. There are already signs that this freedom is about to be abridged. Alt. News pages branded as Hate Sites. Sites that offer colloidal silver--perhaps the best antimicrobial agent available--under fire from the FDA.

It's not too great a stretch to suspect RMN intself has been infiltrated. Not by disinfo specialists like David Moorehouse, because Rayelan's sources could destroy their credibility in a minute. But perhaps by disruption artists, who specialize in creating chaos in an open forum like this. Posting all over the map, personally attacking others, taking up RMN web space with info that is marginally related to the future we face.

How we deal with all of this will shape how we deal with What's To Come. I apologize to anyone here whom I've offended. And I forgive anyone who's offended me. It's not about personalities, or even perspectives. It's about watching the greatest freedom our species has ever known getting flushed down the toilet, and wondering what we can do in response. It's about survival.

And Victory.
